2015 Manifesto

What if there was one simple thing you could do that would alter the next year for you? Would you do it?

New Year’s Eve approaches once again. And frankly, some of us can’t wait to get this year over with. It’s been that bad. We’ve become so resigned, cynical, and miserable that we end up wishing away the very minutes of our lives.

The New Year is a time to wipe the slate clean. A chance for new beginnings. An opportunity to create something special in our lives. Resolutions ablaze, we’re jazzed about what the New Year will bring our way. Totally stoked, in fact.

Each day is a precious gift that defines what it is we’re making of this life. Ahem. Pay attention, please. Unless we take an active role in creating the next 365 Days of Our Lives, life will only continue to occur for us by default. Once again, we’ll end up playing the leading role in our very own real-life soap opera with lots and lots and lots of drama. It’s time to do something very different.  What are you waiting for and why are you waiting?

You wait for a savior, but the savior is in your shoes, dearie.

The days leading up to January 1st are often spent getting in as many last last-minute ‘fixes’ as humanly possible, indulging in the myriad of dysfunctional ‘things’ that are just no damn good for us. We kick it into overdrive and smoke as many cigarettes as we can, thinking that these will be the last. We numb ourselves. We gorge on as much cake, candy, pizza, and french fries that we can shove down our throats, as we tell ourselves that starting January 1st, we shall be born anew! We even shamefully shout it from the roof tops. And if this year is in any way like all previous ones, by mid-January we’re right back at it, allowing the darkness, our devious and dysfunctional ways of being, to run our lives right into the ground again, living to the max in misery, in an toxic sea of emotional suffering. Possibility is murdered once again, and we’re the perp responsible for it all.

Consider this:

  1. Manifesting is our birthright. We were born to create. We have the same power within us that God has. He put it there, and we came to planet Earth to create the life we’re living.
  2. We have free will. And free will means we get to choose whatever it is we want to experience in our life here as a human. And we’ve been given the interesting gift of free will that, without conditions, allows us to choose exactly whatever that life will be like.

SO WHAT IS IT YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE in 2015?

Perhaps you’d like to be even more exhausted this year and gain even more weight. Guess what? You can! Or you could elect to be in the best shape you’ve EVER been. Oh-la-la. Would you like to continue being broke and barely making ends meet? Guess what? You can! Or would you like to experience having more than enough money you could ever want and need? Guess what? You can!

Would you like to be in a relationship or improve the one you’re in? Are you ready to drop a dysfunctional way of being or personality trait that always seems to screw things up? What kind of parent do you want to be? What kind of daughter/son would you like to be? Where would you like to travel? All important questions indeed.

You can have whatever it is you want. You can experience whatever it is you want to experience. You are free to choose whatever you want. That’s what free will is. I’m going to be Captain Obvious here. Life hasn’t been feeling good for us, and we do nothing about it. Notta. We continue making the same choices that produce the same results Why? Because you haven’t known any better, dear human.

Here’s is all there is to consider:

Step 1: Determine precisely what it is you do want to experience. If you don’t have a crystal clear picture of what it is you DO want in life, it will take much longer to get what you want. It’s as simple as that, lovey. The time to begin is NOW. Not January 1st. Today. Whatever is possible in the mind is possible in reality. You can have whatever you want in life. All that is needed to bring it into existence is determination, focus, and a vivid picture of what you desire.

Step 2: Pay close attention to what you’re choosing. Will the choice bring you happiness and peace? Is it good for you? Does it feel good? Would it cause harm to anyone involved? Would the choice ever cause you to feel ashamed that you made such a choice? Base your choices and actions on whatever feels good, makes your heart sing, and would never intentionally cause harm to another human.

There. That’s all there is to it.

One Simple Trick That Will Change Your Life in 2015

It’s Vision Board time! Cha cha cha. A Vision Board is a clear visual representation, a collage of the things that you want to have, be, or do in life. There’s real power in this tool, so employ it. The right side of the brain is where our feelings and our creativity are generated. This portion of the brain responds to images and the feelings associated with those images. The right side of the brain cannot distinguish the difference between what is imagined and what is real. Plying the power of your vastly creative imagination will reproduce in reality the images and words on your Vision Board. You’ll be creating your own Vision Board with images and words that depict all the wonderful things you want to create in your life. By selecting images that appeal to your emotions (feelings of pure excitement, happiness, unbridled joy and passion), you give birth to their creation.

Begin today by paging through magazines and selecting pictures that clearly illustrate what you want your life to look like. Choose images that resonate from your heart and make you feel giddy with anticipation. If your goal is to have a six figure income, then select pictures of a lifestyle congruent with that six figure income. Ask yourself these questions:

  • Where would you live?
  • What do you want your surroundings to look like?
  • What kind of car would you drive?
  • Where would you travel?
  • What things would you own?
  • What do you physically want to look like? What would you wear? What does your body look like?
  • What kind of job would you have?

For the past 20 years, I’ve created a Vision Board on New Year’s Eve. This simple, yet highly effective tool is the blueprint of the life you’ll be living for the next 12 months, so begin 2015 big. Complete your Vision Board within the next few days and place it in a location that gives you as much visual exposure to it as possible throughout the day. I keep mine in my bathroom. I place my undivided attention on each image as I brush my teeth morning and night. Place yours wherever you’ll see it frequently throughout the day and intentionally focus on the images.

It’s far better to live each day with a crystal clear vision of what you want in life, so get your vision board complete within the next few days. This is your visual display of cosmic blessing, so gaze at it often. I do not know the date I will die, but the way in which I approached this work is what now defines me and my legacy. It will be the same for you.

Take a gander at what’s on the horizon in 2015, will you? The house, the car, the career, the body, the relationship, and the lifestyle that have simply been distant and blurry desires are now beginning to materialize. Excitement is now your current state-of-mind. Anything you can imagine you have already earned. Get whimsical, you powerful gladiator, you, and begin the decoration of your beautiful new life.
